La zapatera prodigiosa, también conocida como The Shoemaker’s Wonderful Wife y The Shoemaker’s Prosperous Wife, es una obra de teatro del dramaturgo español del siglo XX Federico García Lorca. Fue escrita entre 1926 y 1930, y estrenada en 1930.
La obra cuenta la historia de una relación inestable entre un matrimonio, un zapatero de 53 años y su esposa de 18 años. La historia sigue la lucha de la esposa contra su marido, el alcalde, los vecinos, los pretendientes y un «chico». El zapatero y su mujer son rechazados en su sociedad por ser diferentes. El zapatero deja a la mujer. Ella está muy triste y apenada. El alcalde, el joven de la faja y el joven del sombrero se lanzan en cuanto el zapatero se va, intentando cortejarla. Todos fracasan estrepitosamente. La mujer se mantiene fiel al zapatero. Tiene que abrir un café para tener suficiente dinero para vivir. El zapatero, cansado de la vida en la carretera, se arrepiente y vuelve disfrazado de titiritero. Le dice a la mujer que lo siente y ella lo acepta con alegría y cariño.
